      Today is your first day of trekking. From Pokhara, you will drive to Nayapul, looking over the countryside and mountain views. The trail from Nayapul goes through forests and reaches Birethanti. From here, you will ascend via terraced farms and villages like Sudame and Hile to Tikhedhunga. The final part of the route involves climbing a long staircase to Ulleri.

            You are not following a less-trodden path to Khopra Danda. This part of the trail is not crowded at all. On the way, you will trek past some small settlements and also cross suspension bridges.

              Today, spend an acclimatization day in Khopra Danda. In the morning, hike to Khayer Lake, which is also the highest point you will touch during this trek. The hiking route to Khayer Lake is rugged and steep, so you have to be careful. You will be trekking to the base of Annapurna South, where the lake is situated. Visit a temple around the lake as well and later return to Khopra Danda.

                        From the Himalaya Hotel, you will trek following a narrow gorge. The trail goes along the Modi Khola glacier valley. You will trek via alpine forests and pass by the Hinku Cave. From here, enter the Annapurna Sanctuary and continue trekking to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Further, you will trek along a narrow, steep track to reach the Annapurna Base Camp.
