      We will use a local jeep and drive from Besisahar to Chame. It is a bumpy and thrilling ride following cliffsides.         From Chame, we will follow the Marsyangdi river and gradually ascend via pine and fir forests. On the way, we can see a glimpse of mountains. From here, the trail continues, offering stunning views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Pisang Peak to Pisang village.

              From Manang, we will turn to Siri Kharka and follow the upper route. The trail gradually takes us down to a river, and crossing it, we will continue trekking via a coniferous forest. After three hours of trekking, we will reach Khangsarand from here and continue to Tilicho Base Camp via Siri Kharka. Mt. Chulu, Gungang Hima, and Tilicho Peak are seen in the surroundings.

                We will wake up early in the morning on this day and hike to Tilicho Lake. The route towards the lake is steep and rugged. As per the weather conditions, we may also have to walk on snow. Once we reach the lake, the outstanding beauty of the lake, with its tranquility, will leave us spellbound. Mountains like Niligiri, Tilicho Peak, and Annapurna Range surround us. After enjoying the view, we will trek back to Siri Kharka.

                  The trail from Siri Kharka continues to Khangsar village. Following a downhill route, we will come across Tare Gumba monastery. It is believed to be over a thousand years old. Further, the trail is rocky and gradually ascends to Thorong Khola Valley. We will reach Yak Kharka to spend the night.

                    Thorong Phedi is the last settlement before Thorong La pass. Further, we will descend and cross the Marsyangdi river. The trail then ascends following a narrow path and descends to Thorong Phedi.

                      Today is the big day. We will begin trekking from Thorong Phedi early in the morning and ascend to Thorong La pass. Further, the trail gradually descends to Muktinath via grassy meadows and steep slopes. The views of Dhaulagiri are phenomenal on the way to Muktinath, one of the significant pilgrimage sites in Nepal.

                              • Trek distance: The Annapurna circuit trek with Tilicho lake is approximately 95 kilometers long. You will trek around 12 kilometers a day, and some days can be longer. Each day, trekking hours go from 6 to 7 hours.
                              • Difficulty level: The Annapurna circuit with Tilicho lake trek is a challenging trek in the Annapurna Himalayas. This trek is for experienced trekkers who are physically and mentally fit. We do not recommend Annapurna circuit and Tilicho lake trek to beginner trekkers. During the trek, you will be following a diverse terrain via lush forests, pastures, and gorges. The trail constantly ascents and descends. There are many steep and rugged sections as well.
                              • Altitude sickness and preventive measures: The trek involves a gradual ascent, allowing for acclimatization. However, altitude gain is significant, particularly when crossing Thorong La Pass. So, you have to be careful of altitude sickness and follow precautions to avoid it. Vomiting, headache, difficulty in breathing, nausea, insonia, etc are some early symptoms of altitude sickness. To avoid it during the trek, keep yourself hydrated and listen to your body. Do not rush, and take plenty of rest.
                              • Trek preparation: Pre-trek physical training, including cardiovascular and strength exercises, can enhance your stamina and endurance.

                              The best time to do the Everest base camp trek in Nepal

                              • Travel insurance: The Annapurna circuit trek with Tilicho lake takes you to a remote area that lacks basic transportation. So, travel insurance will be helpful if we have to evacuate you to Pokhara or Kathmandu immediately. Make sure your travel insurance covers emergency helicopter evacuation up to 6,000 meters and medical bills.
                              • Passport and visa: Foreign travelers need a valid passport and a Nepalese travel visa to trek in Nepal.
