Langtang Gosaikunda Lauribina pass trek, also known as Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu trek, is an adventurous and difficult grade trek in Nepal. On this trek, you will explore the lifestyle and culture of the Tamangs, Sherpas, and Hyolmo communities. The trail goes through the Langtang National Park and ascends to Tserko Ri (5,033 m/16,500 ft) and Gosiakunda Lake (4,380 m/14,620 ft).

Located in the north of Kathmandu, the Langtang region is known as the valley of glaciers. On your arrival day in Kathmandu, our team will be at the Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome you. They will transfer you to the hotel in Thamel. The remaining day is lesuire. You can take your time to rest and explore the surroundings. We will meet in the late evening over a welcome dinner and introduce ourselves.

    Today, we will spend the day exploring the famous tourist sites in Kathmandu and preparing for the trek. One of our tour guides will accompany us during the tour and explain to us about the monuments. We will visit the Monkey Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhnath Stupa.

    After the tour, there will be a 1-2 hour break for lunch and rest. Later, we will meet in our office and prepare for the trek. The trek guide will brief you on the journey, and we will pack the duffel bags. You can do any last-minute shopping as well.

      From Kathmandu, we will drive for 8 to 9 hours, following a beautiful highway to reach Syabrubesi. The ride will take us northwest of Kathmandu. We will drive along winding roads, enjoying views of lush hills, terraces, towns, and mountains. From Trishuli Bazaar, the road is uneven till Syabrubesi.

        The trail starts from Syabrubesi and follows a lush forested route inside the Langtang National Park. We will gradually ascend, enjoying the serene surroundings and lovely mountain views. On the way, we will trek past the Rimche settlement and continue ascending via bamboo and birch forest to Lama Hotel.

          From Lama Hotel, the trail goes along the Langtang river. Following an uphill route, we will trek through dense forests. Soon, the narrow river valley opens up and leads us to Ghoda Tabela. This is our lunch spot. From here, we will cross a river and trek past ancient stupas and chortens before reaching Langtang village.

            Kyanjin Gompa is the last settlement in the Langtang valley. From Langtang village, we will ascend through isolated settlements and meadows.               We have a rest day in Kyanjin Gompa. For an acclimatization hike, we can go to Tserko Ri or Kyanjin Ri. Both places offer a gorgeous sunrise along with a breathtaking mountain panorama of Langtang Lirung, Langtang II, Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma, Mt. Kang Guru, Yala Peak, etc. Later in the day, we will also explore a local cheese factory and the monastery itself.

                Today, we will trek back to Lama Hotel, following the same trail. It is a long descending day, so we will begin trekking early. The trail first descends to Langtang village and from here, continues to Ghoda Tabela. We will then walk along an uneven cliffside and trek through lush forests of rhododendrons to Lama Hotel.

                  The day begins with a descent along the Langtang Khola. We will trek past a small waterfall and further trek through lush rhododendrons and bamboo forests.                         From Gosaikunda lake, we will now continue trekking towards the Helambu region. The trail crosses the challenging Laurebina La pass. We will be trekking in an isolated area. The trail first descends to the northern shore of the lake, and from here, we will begin ascending to the top of the pass. On the way, we will trek past small lakes. From the pass, the trail descends to Ghopte via steep and rocky paths.

                          We will trek through dense forests of oak and rhododendron to Tharepati. From here, follow a downhill route via forests and come across a vast meadow. Further, we will follow a scenic route to Kuala Bhanjyang (3,335 m) and continue trekking from here to Kutumsang.

                            Today, the day begins with an ascent and shortly joins a downhill route to Gul Bhanjyang (2,140 m). From here, we will trek on a dusty road to Thorong Danda (2,500 m). The trail gets steep and rocky. We will trek past Chipping village and descend from here to Chisapani.

                              We have now come to the last day of our trek. We will register the permits at the Shivapuri National Park checkpoint and follow a downhill route to Sundarijal. The trail is well-marked and goes via lush forests. At Sundarijal, we will take a jeep and ride back to Kathmandu. The evening is free in the city. Explore and shop. Later, meet us for a farewell dinner.
